ECLIPSE CENTER FOR CREATIVE COMMUNITY is a community art center with 2 galleries, a boutique with items made from local artists and artisans, and studio spaces for artists. We offer fun art events and fine art classes for all ages. Our gallery hosts 5 to 6 exhibits a year so the art changes often, giving more artists a chance to be seen and art lovers a chance to experience a wide variety of art. Our center is located just off Main & Broad Streets in the borough of Lansdale which offers big city amenities and walkability but small town feel and friendliness.

Lansdale is a suburb of Philadelphia. Eclipse is within easy walking distance to the train station, great local restaurants and brew pubs. Private parking is available. We are not handicap accessible due to stairs (resolving that is a goal we are working toward).

COVID PRECAUTIONS:

I opened this business in July 2021 hoping the pandemic would soon be over. Hope is a good thing, but I was so wrong:).

We opened with mask requirements in place and we have never dropped them. The building doesn't have windows that open so we have HEPA filters in the gathering areas and use the HVAC units to bring in fresh air. We keep the number of students in the classes small, not for social distancing as much as to maintain better air quality in the classrooms.

My staff and I are all vaxxed and boosted and I provide KN95s for them. It is very important to me to keep my customers, students, artists, and instructors safe. I am high risk and so is my husband so I understand the challenges from both sides - running a business and not wanting to lose clients and protecting people. Protecting people comes first for me. When determining ongoing prevention methods I will always err on the side of caution and continue to look for new ways to make it possible to gather safely. I couldn't live with myself if I settled for less.
