Hearts & Minds Learning is an outdoors-first, play-based, student-directed educational community.
In our founding year, we will welcome 3 to 6 year-olds for mixed age kindergarten. We look forward to expanding the program to serve children of all ages.

This unique, COVID safe(r) learning environment focuses on a well-rounded educational experience building community and practical life skills and led by students to nurture and grow their love of learning.

If your family is looking for flexibility and a small, customized learning community that safely focuses on whole child development and fostering independence, Hearts and Minds is for you! We are homeschool-friendly.

We are located in Roseville, just minutes outside of both downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.
Our safe and fun program begins in September 2022.

At HMLC, safety is EXTREMELY important to us. Due to the confirmed participation of several children and adults with higher risk conditions, this program will require all children and participating adult volunteers/educator guides be fully vaccinated as vaccines are available (unless there is a medical exemption). Masks are required for everyone during any indoor time. There is NO MASK SHAMING at HMLC, only mask positivity.

The majority of our time will be spent learning and playing outdoors. When indoor learning happens, there will be a particular focus on proper ventilation, filtration and monitoring.

Our aim is to make HMLC a safer place for the members of our learning community who need it most.
